We are excited to add our first Signature wine to our portfolio — an Oregon Sauvignon Blanc. Our Signature series are wines that we believe are truly special. These are wines that have limited production and express a new adventure.

While there are fewer Sauvignon Blancs from Oregon, it is emerging as a great wine coming from the Willamette Valley. This wine has the classic profile of Sauvignon Blanc, with tropical notes and a hint of lemongrass flavors. Despite these classic characteristics, it is distinctly different than wines from New Zealand and California.

As Joe Dobbes, our winemaker, said in the wine press, “In addition to making what I think are the most exciting wines of my career, I have the mission of trying to prove to the world that Oregon Willamette Valley Sauvignon Blanc can be world class.” We agree and are on the bandwagon!

2023 Growing Season

The headline — A Vintage for the Ages. Maybe hyperbole but a sense of how we see the 2023 vintage after a few years of difficult weather and challenging vintages. We think that the mark of a great winery is to make great wines in challenging years — which we did. And the opportunity in a great vintage is to make wines that you remember for decades. The 2023 growing season was stable — something we are thankful for in today’s world. This is the first wine from our Willamette Valley wines in the 2023 vintage. Based on what we see we can’t wait for the Chardonnay and Pinot Noirs to come. A special vintage indeed!
