Rogue Valley AVA

This wine is balanced with structure and the freshness of a great Rosé. It is a dry, crisp wine that will be taken seriously, yet sure to be enjoyed by all. This Rosé emerged with stone fruit and ripe melon flavors with beautiful clarity. This wine can be enjoyed on the patio or a picnic and pairs well with summer fare. We produce our Rosé in partnership with Resistance Wine Company, a leading winery in Rogue Valley, and their winemaker Kimberly Drake.

Farming and the 2023 Growing Season

The 2023 growing season across Oregon was predominately good. While some growers reported lower yields in the Rogue Valley, the fruit returned to traditional characteristics with the return to more normal water stress levels in the vines in the hot Southern Oregon summer. While the Willamette Valley is roughly the same longitude as Burgundy, France, the Rogue Valley AVA is approximately the longitude of the Rhone Valley in France, which produces some of the world’s best reds. This region brings a great opportunity to make an incredible Rosé of Merlot.
