CATALYST RIDGE WINES
2019 Chardonnay
Our winemaking style for Chardonnay is focused on a classic Burgundian approach, with just enough oak to provide the necessary structure to this wine. Our 2019 vintage underwent a small amount of partial malolactic fermentation to preserve the fresh, crisp acidity, resulting in a drinkable wine that which exhibits the classic essential characteristics of great Oregon Chardonnay.

Farming and the 2019 Growing Season
The 2019 growing season produced lower than average yields, resulting in more intense flavors. With this below average yield, our approach of expressing the unique characteristics of the vineyard and the vintage were on display in the 2019 year. The Orchard House vineyard, the estate of winemaker Joe Dobbes, is organically farmed allowing the full expression of the vineyard on display in our Chardonnay.
